  • EPS production technology: Pre-expansion
  • Excessive steam residence time and superheated steam will cause damage to EPS beads
  • Prevent steam from overheating: Do not use thermal insulation material to keep the last 5-8 meters steam pipe from the steam pressure reducing valve to the pre-expander
  • Pressure: 0.2-1.2bar = low heat content
  • Must contain some moisture to create a condensation layer on the EPS surface to slow the transfer of heat to the EPS particles.
  • Pre-expand EPS particles smoothly & uniformly
